1. Place the Butterfly stamp on the acrylic block and ink up, stamp onto lilac paper twice. If a 3-d effect is desired, use pigment ink, pour clear embossing powder over image, pour excess back in the jar; then heat slowly with a heat gun until raised and glossy. (we have used Clearly Magic Enchanted Embossing Powder, as we feel this is the best and most versatile powder! Check our Product Information page to see many ways to use it.)
2. Colour the edges of the butterflies and cut out, you only need to cut around the antenae on one image.
3. Add craft glue to the small card, adding the small scrap pieces of patterned paper and small cuts of patterned insides of the junk mail envelopes, to cover. If you require neater edges place scraps over the edge of the card, once dry, turn over the card and trim. Leave to dry.
4. Cover one of the base butterfly's wing with craft glue and dip into the Enchanted Dust, repeat on the other wing leaving the body of the butterfly glue free.

8. To finish dot craft glue to the scrap paper and add flowers (we use a cocktaail stick, touch one end to a little bit of glue, to pick up individual embellishments and to dot in place. A trail from the butterfly could be made for an extra special touch.

1. Fold the A4 red card in half, then place the cut out *Free Post Box Template© available as a FREE download on the back of the folded card with the top of the template on the fold , draw around and cut out – do not cut across the fold. Open up your card and lay flat; next cut out the letter box on the front of the card.
2. Add PVA glue to the top of the Post Box and add Snow – just like real snow our Snow doesn’t like the heat. Enchanted Dust can be added to the Snow for a glistening effect.
Use a black pen to draw around the letter box and the bottom of the Post Box.
3. Place the Santa stamp on the acrylic block and ink up, stamp onto white card. Repeat with the Mini Cards. Minis can be stamped into the Blank Mini Card to create even more options. If a 3-d effect is desired, use a black pigment ink, pour clear embossing powder over image, pour excess back in the jar; then heat slowly with a heat gun until raised and glossy. (we have used Clearly Magic Enchanted Embossing Powder, as we feel this is the best and most versatile powder!)
4. Colour in the images and cut out. Embellish with Enchanted Embellishments and Enchanted Dust if desired.
5. Lay the metallic thread onto white paper, put a small hole in the top left corner of each Mini Card. Lay them over the thread and when you are happy with the arrangement thread each card and knot (beads can be added if desired). Alternatively, adhere the Mini Cards to the thread with a small amount of tape. Attach Santa to or beside the Post Box, then attach one end of the thread to the inside of the letter box, with the other end over Santa’s thumb (a dot of glue or tape will hold cards in position if desired).
6. A great alternative to this card can be made using the Mini Post Box in a similar way, but use an A4 card to attach the Mini Post Box and Santa to. The Snow Scene and/or Snowflakes (from White Christmas KLCA001) can be used to create a background even the Snowman can be added to hold the string of cards.

Scissors
Cocktail Stick
1. Using an ATC back from For You ATC & Mini Magic A5 Stamp Set, place on an acrylic block, with the acrylic block flat, take the ink to the stamp and pat across writing evenly. Line up and press onto the back of the ATC; repeat with of the mini images from the set (Sue used the same stamp as the front of the ATC), line up in the space and stamp.
2. Ink the mini stamp again and stamp onto white card, cut and colour. Add glue to the wings, dip into the Enchanted Dust and tap off excess. Attach the mini image to the centre of the tag.
3. Wrap and attach ribbon to the lilac paper, add a greeting/message. Attach double sided tape to the 2 short sides of the back and the bottom; add the pocket to the bottom of the ATC (portrait).
4. Dot glue to the tag and bottom of the ATC, adding the lilac flowers (try using a cocktail stick with blu-tack on the end or a little glue to pick up and dot the embellishments onto the glue)
5. Thread 2 lengths of wire through the tag hole and twist to keep together, thread a large bead through the 4 lengths and separate each one. Thread 3 beads onto one of the wires, then wrap the end of the wire around the cocktail stick to create a loop, then pinch between finger and thumb and pull round to create a spiral; repeat on each wire.
6. Attach a feather to the back of the tag. Tuck the tag into the pocket.

Step-by-step
1. Place the Little Sister stamp on the acrylic block and ink up with black pigment ink, stamp onto white card. Pour clear embossing powder over image (I used Clearly Magic), pour excess back in the jar; then heat slowly with a heat gun until raised and glossy; then cut out. Repeat onto red card, cut around the outfit and stick to Little Sister.
2. There are so many ways to use these stamps and different things for the little sister to hold; I chose the flowers as this went nicely with the vellum.
Press the Versamark ink pad onto the blossom vellum, Sprinkle with Clearly Magic, gently pour off, then gently heat. Cut a 6.8cm square and punch 2 flowers.
3. I made a Scroll, which is featured in the Kirsten Lapping Designs Oriental Screen Project:
Ink the Mini Writing stamp and stamp onto cream paper, cut leaving a 1 cm gap at the top and bottom. Attach double sided tape to the top, attach the cocktail stick to the double sided tape, cut the point off leaving a little bit sticking over the edge of the paper; then stick down using a little bit of glue. Repeat at the other end of the Mini Writing to complete the Scroll.
4. Tri-fold the black card, so that it looks like 3 squares, with the 2 outside squares folding into the centre. Fold the left square diagonally down to the left corner, fold the right square diagonally up to the right corner.
Cut the smaller gold mirri card diagonally in half, do the same with the Blossom Vellum and attach the vellum to the card centrally. Attach each triangle to the triangle shape created on the front of the black card, sandwiching a length of gold ribbon, in the centre so that when folded and the triangles meet in the middle the ribbons can be tied. Attach the Scroll to the front of the card.
5. Attach the larger gold square to the inside square panel leaving an equal border. Put small foam pads behind the 8.8cm x 3cm gold card, along the 2 short lengths and along 1 long side. Wrap a piece of gold ribbon around the card and attach this to the bottom of the gold square to create a pocket.
Stamp and emboss the Thank you stamp onto red card and trim, add to black paper and stick to the gold pocket.
Add the 2 glazed flowers to the inside of the card, add a gem to each centre.
6. I liked the strips on the Oriental Screen, so I added these to my ATC - cut thin strips of black paper and attach to the panel. Cut a small slit down the little sister’s hand, put glue on the hand and slide the Flowers into place. Attach this to the ATC using double sided tape. Slide into the pocket on the inside of the card, then tie the gold ribbon.
The winner will be chosen after the end of June and their winning entry will be displayed from the beginning of July. Please be sure to send us your name and contact details, with the photo of your card or project, along with the materials/equipment you used and the instructions.
We look forward to displaying your entries, sadly we are unable to diplay all of of the great cards and projects we are sent, but we do endavour to show as many as we can.
This gorgeous "Showtime Theatre" card has been made by Alison Lindsay ("Cardmaking and Papercraft Cardmaker of the Year 2007) using a combination of both sets of Oriental stamps. This was "The 1st Project of the Season".
The step-by-step instructions for this card are at the bottom of this page . . .
If you don't already have these stamps try your local stockist or go to the "Acrylic Stamp" page.
With these interchangeable stamps, you are the designer and can choose many variations (read more on the Acrylic Stamp page or the Product Information about how versatile these stamps really are). To encourage your creativity, we have a great "Oriental Screen Card" project on the Project page (as seen in "Scrapbook Magazine issue 33") and other inspirational photos on the Gallery page.

Instructions
1. Using white card, create a portrait card blank 10 by 14 cm. Cover the front of the card in red oriental paper, then mount a strip of brown card 2.5cm wide along the bottom.
2. Stamp the Showcase (to create a theatre/cabinet) onto white card using black dye ink. Allow to dry, then paint the theatre using watercolour paints. Apply a thin layer of PVA over the bodies of the two dragons on the upper panel of the theatre, then add red glitter. Allow to dry, then add gold glitter to their heads. Cut the Showcase (theatre) out, making sure you cut along the outline of the entire piece so no white card is showing.
3. Stamp the Geisha, Little Sister, Vase, Scroll and two Birdcages onto shrink plastic using black dye ink. Allow to dry, then add chalking to the pieces in a very thin, pale layer – the colour will intensify after heating.
4. Cut each shape out close to the outline, except for the two Birdcages – with these, cut out roughly with a wide margin, then use a hole punch or eyelet punch to make a hole just above the top of the cages. Cut carefully round the Birdcages and around the holes at the top, to form a charm. Heat each piece in turn with a heat tool until it shrinks and flattens out – use a piece of wood to press the pieces flat after heating.
5. Pierce four holes along the top of the stage and, using a needle and thread, secure one end of the thread behind with a dab of PVA glue. Allow to dry, then pass the needle through the first hole, pick up two gold, one red, then one gold bead, then pass the needle and thread through the hole at the top of one of the Birdcages. Thread back through the hole at the top to secure it, and knot, then add a gold bead, a red bead and two more gold beads. Pass the needle and thread through to the back of the piece. Repeat for the second Birdcage.
6. Stick the Showcase (theatre) to the front of the card, lining it up along the top of the brown strip so it looks like it is resting on the floor. Stick the other shrink plastic pieces on, adding the scroll in the hands of the Geisha and the Vase in the left corner of the “stage”.
7. Finally, add a peel-off greeting.
