FREE Christmas Exploding Box from Kirsten Lapping Designs to you . . .
Step-By-Step
1. Cut a square around the large designed square, leaving the corners intact creating a square shape. To create the lid score between the top rows of wreaths, repeat on all sides. Fold each side to the centre with the design face down. On each corner, the score line creates a small square, cut only 1 line on each of these 4 squares. Add PVA/craft glue to 1 square, fold in to create the lid corner, hold in place with a mini peg or paperclip, repeat on all corners. Add Enchanted Dust if desired.
2. Cut out around the large cross shape. With the design face down fold each part towards the centre square (score along all of the fold lines first and create a crisp fold). Repeat with the small cross, fold with design face up. If adding a sparkle, add PVA/craft glue where desired, add Enchanted Dust, tap off excess.
3. Cut around squares from additional sheet; add Enchanted Dust if desired and attach to the inside undecorated part of the large cross.
4. Line up the 2 crosses and attach the centre of the small cross to the centre of the large, with double sided tape.
5. Attach the Greeting Square or Wreath to the centre of the cross with 3-d foam pads, coiled wire or attach 2 strips of paper at 1 end in an "L" shape and fold 1 over the other until a concertina spring has been created, stick the ends, then attach.
6. Add Enchanted Embellishments to finish, by dotting glue where desired, use a cocktail stick with blu-tack on 1 end to pick up and dot the embellishments onto the glue. More layers and extra embellishments can be added.
